Children flying without a parent or legal guardian are classified as
Unaccompanied Minors (UMs). If your child is traveling alone under this service,
please ensure all safety measures are followed for a smooth and secure journey.
The service is compulsory for children aged 5-12 traveling alone without an
adult. It is optional for children aged 12-18 traveling unaccompanied by an
adult.
For children aged 12-18 who do not need the service, download and
complete the "Unaccompanied Minor Assistance and Handling Waiver form" and
inform your local Singapore Airlines office that you do not require the service
for your child.
Children under the age of 5 are not permitted to travel
unless accompanied by an adult. Airlines have the right to request proof of age
for any child.
