If you lose an item during your journey with Turkish Airlines, follow the steps
below to report and recover it.
Lost Items at the Airport
If you misplace belongings within the airport (before security, during check-in,
or after arrival), contact the airport’s Lost & Found office directly. Each
airport manages its own service, and Turkish Airlines is not responsible for
items lost in general airport areas.
Lost Items on a Turkish Airlines Flight
If you leave something onboard or in a Turkish Airlines lounge, report it
through:
• The Turkish Airlines Lost & Found Office at your arrival airport.
• The Lost & Found section on the Turkish Airlines website.
• Istanbul Airport Lost & Found Office (if applicable).
Checked Baggage Issues
If your checked baggage is delayed, damaged, or missing:
• Go to the Baggage Services Desk immediately after landing.
• Obtain a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with a reference code to track
your bag.
• Monitor the status via the WorldTracer system on the Turkish Airlines website.
• If your baggage is not found within 30 days, you may be eligible for
compensation.
