Upon Arriving

Check-In and Documentation
:
Parents or guardians must fill out the Unaccompanied Minor (UM) form, including contact information for both the drop-off and pick-up parties.

At check-in, the child is issued a wristband for identification and a document envelope to hold all essential travel papers.

It is advised to arrive at the airport no less than three hours before departure to allow adequate time for formalities.

In-Flight and Arrival Procedures

During the journey, flight attendants will supervise the child and provide one complimentary snack.

Upon landing, the child will remain onboard until a United representative escorts them to the approved pickup contact.

For international services, the child must complete customs and immigration clearance before being handed over to the designated guardian in the arrivals area.

Additional Considerations

Ensure the child has a valid passport and any required visas for international travel.

Pack snacks and entertainment, such as books or electronic devices, to keep the child occupied during the flight.

Talk through the travel process with the child in advance to help them feel prepared and comfortable for the journey.
