	Jammu Airport (also known as Satwari Airport (IATA: IXJ, ICAO: VIJU)) is a 
	civil airport in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is situated 14 km (8.7 
	miles) from the international border between India and Pakistan.
	
	The Airports Authority of India (AAI) had published data and statistics of 
	the airport between the time period of April 2013 to March 2014. According 
	to this data, Jammu airport is ranked the 27th busiest airport in India, 
	with a total passenger traffic of 845,555. This was a decrease of 1.9% from 
	2012-2013.
	
	The Jammu Airport starts operations after 9:30 am and the last flight takes 
	off before 4:30 pm. The airport authorities are not allowed to operate 
	commercial flights beyond the time allotted to them. The Airport is already 
	overburdened with the number of flights and passengers as it has to cater to 
	more that 3,000 passengers on a daily basis in 34 (arrival and departure) 
	flights. 
	
	With a capacity of between 180 and 360 passengers at one time, the airport 
	is catering to between 1,100 and 1,200 passengers during peak hours as 12 
	flights operate within two-and-a-half hours every afternoon.
	
	Currently there are 5 airlines operate in Jammu Airport which is Air India, 
	IndiGo, SpiceJet, GoAir and Jet Airways. The flights destination are Leh, 
	Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Srinagar. There are also helicopter services 
	operated in this airport from Himalyan Heli Service and Global Vectra 
	Helicopter Service.
	
	City buses and taxis services are available from city center to this airport
