Utkela Airstrip

Utkela Airstrip (IATA: VEUK) is a private airstrip owned by the Government of Odisha located at 24 km away from Bhawanipatna in the Kalahandi district of Odisha.

The nearest airport/airstrip to this airstrip is Nuagaon Airstrip in Balangir, Odisha.

The airport is located at an elevation of 685 ft (210 m) above mean sea level. It has one paved runway designated 04/22 oriented by measures of 3,020 ft (920 m) in length with asphalt surface.

Air Odisha is starting commercial flight services to Utkela Airstrip on 1 May 2016 from its main hub at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar. The commercial flight services was suspended due to lack of patrons.

The airstrip has been designated to be developed as a regional airport under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN).
