Gobindgarh Fort
Gobindgarh Fort located in the south-west of the city, has been taken over
by the Indian army and is now off limits. The fort was originally built in
the 18th century by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, a Sikh ruler of the Punjab
region, and was later occupied by the British Indian Army.
In recent years, the fort has been renovated and transformed into a cultural
and tourist center, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich history and
culture of the Punjab region.
Gobindgarh Fort is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, and admission fees apply.

Best time to visit Amritsar is in the winter, between October and March.
