Gaurishankar Lake
The Gaurishankhar Lake also known as the Bhavnagar Lake forms one of the
most beautiful lakes in the city of Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The lake was
initially meant to fulfil the purpose of a water reservoir for drinking
water. But gradually, Gaurishankar Lake evolved as the most preferred spot
for picnics and bird watching.
The place is quite popular and is surrounded by a palace, a planetarium, a
boat house and a garden with musical fountains making it all the more
enthralling for the tourists. A number of events and fairs are occasionally
organised here, which add to its popularity. Thus a visit to Gaurishankhar
