The home of the IPL team Kings XI Punjab, the Mohali cricket stadium is the seat of the Punjab Cricket Association. The stadium was established in 1993 and took 3 years to complete. The first Test match here was held the following season, between India and West Indies on 10 December 1994. The stadium has been a venue to many local and international matches in India and has been a favorite venue of the cricket fans in India.

The current pitch curator for the PCA Stadium is Daljit Singh and the design consultant is Ar Sufyan Ahmad. This pitch is the one of the greenest pitches of India and as the outfield is lush green, the ball keeps its shine for a long time and allows the fast bowlers to exploit the conditions at the most.

The Mohali pitch is also known to slow down later on and become batting paradise.

Getting There

Chandigarh is well connected by road and buses provide an important transport link. There are services from various states such as- Haryana, Punjab, Himachal, and Delhi.

It is a gateway to Himachal Pradesh as one can reach hill stations like Kasauli, Chail, Shimla etc within in a few hours drive. Chandigarh International Airport is located about 9 kilometres south of the city centre. This Airport is the nearest airport to this attraction.
