Laxman Siddh Temple

A place of great devotion, Laxman Siddh Temple is a famous as the cremation site of holy Saint Swami Laxman Siddh. This temple is among the most popular temples near Dehradun city. Laxman Siddh Temple is located at 12 km from Dehradun at Haridwar / Rishikesh Road.

Surrounded by the dense forest and in a scenic environment, Laxman Siddh Temple is believed to be the same place where Lord Laxman, brother of Lord Rama underwent repentance after slaying the demon king Ravana.

Saint Swami Laxman Siddh underwent penance and cremated at this site. On every Sundays, devotees visited the temple in large numbers.

Laxman Siddh Fair is organized at Laxman Siddh Temple on last Sunday of April month every year. Visitors can see a culture and customs of local tribes of Dehradun at the Laxman Siddh Temple.

Getting There

Laxman Siddh Temple of Dehradun is located at 12 kms from Dehradun city at Haridwar / Rishikesh Rd. One can reach easily at Laxman Siddh Temple by bus or taxi till Harrawala and then 1 km trek to the temple.

Dehradun railway station is at 6 kms from FRI and airport is at Jolly Grant Airport (31 kms).
