Malsi Deer Park
Malsi Deer Park is a major wildlife lovers attraction after Rajaji National
Park in Dehradun. Located at 9 km from Dehradun at Mussoorie Road, this mini
Zoological park or garden is now developed as a famous family outing/picnic
spot in Dehradun and flushed with visitors during weekends.
Surrounded by Malsi Reserve Forest, Malsi Deer Park is famous for
sightseeing of young deer or heardof deer in their natural habitat at
Shiwalik foothills. One can also take a click of deer easily if trained.
Apart from majestic Deer population, the park has two-horned deer and
Neelgai (Indian Antelope) as well. Visitors also can sight wide variety of
birds in their natural environment in the park.
Malsi Deer Park also has peacock and rabbits protected in the cages and one
can feed them as well.
Park authorities also installed several slides for the children as well.
Kids can enjoy playing and learning about animals at the same time at this
park. A resourceful canteen in the park serves eatables. Entry is paid and
park is closed on Mondays.

Getting There
Malsi Deer Park is located at 10 kms from Dehradun city at Mussoorie Rd. One
can reach easily at Malsi Deer Park through bus or auto (called vikram) and
nearby rail is at Dehradun railway station (11 kms) and airport at Jolly Grant
Airport (31 kms).
