Guchchu Pani or Robbers Cave is known for unusual cold springs which goes underground at some of the places inside the caves. One can enter the cold water with folding pants and witness small and large waterfall. Experiencing beautiful natural rift or caves with legs in freezing water is amazing and romantic as well. Youngsters and tourists rushed to Robbers Cave mostly in summers to get relief from scorching Sun. Guchchu Pani is now developing as a best place to visit in Dehradun.

Named by the British, Robbers Cave is well known locally as 'Gucchu Pani'. It was believed that Robbers used to take hide in Guchchupani after robbery, so British names it as Robbers Cave.

Getting There

Guchchupani or Robbers Cave is located at 8 km from Dehradun city. One can reach Guchchupani or Robbers Cave by bus till Vijaypur and then easy trek for 1 km. Nearest railway station is Dehradun station and Jolly Grant Airport will be an easy option to visit Robbers Cave.
