Ranmal Lake

The most important tourist attractions of Jamnagar, a visit to the Ranmal Lake (also known as Lakhota Lake) is a definite must include if you are planning a tour itinerary to Jamnagar.

Ranmal Lake is a natural water body in which the river accumulates, another beautiful spot for bird watching, especially during migration season. The Ranmal Lake is also a haven for ornithologists and bird lovers who flock to its picturesque shores from all around the world.

This is especially true during the winters in Jamnagar, when as high as around 75 species flock to the lake from several countries from around the globe. Tourists planning a trip to Jamnagar in winters can take the pleasure of watching these birds every morning when nature is at her peak.

 

Lakhota Palace and Bhujiyo Kotho are located in the middle and south of the lake.

Getting There

Around 8 km away from town, Ranmal Lake can be easily access by auto and taxi facility in town center.

Jamnagar is 92 km from Rajkot State transport buses and private luxury coaches connect Jamnagar with various centres of Gujarat. If you’re coming from Rajkot on bus, the bus passes right through town before reaching the bus station, so you can ask to be let off at Bedi Gate.

The Jamnagar a major railway station, it has regular trains to and from various cities in India such as Mumbai, Delhi etc. To reach Jamnagar by train is very affordable and comfortable.

The nearest airport is Jammnagar Airport, located in 8 kms away from city center. It is connected to the city by a four lane highway. Auto and taxi facility to town center are available out side of this Airport. Hotels pickup and car rental services can be arrange prior to arrivals.
