With the solitary aim of
creating awareness on ecological balance, especially oceanic
environment, Samudrika Marine Museum acts as a central attraction for
tourists. Take a walk inside and enjoy the fascinating and colourful
displays of underwater life-shells, corals and more, indigenous to this
region.
Though it primarily aims to
educate the masses about the marine ecosystem, it also touches upon the
history, geography and anthropology of Andaman. The museum is divided
into five sections focusing on the history of the Andaman Islands,
marine life, geography of the region, archaeology, and the customs and
culture of the natives. The museum is maintained by the Indian Navy.

reach
Veer Savarkar International Airport also known as
Port Blair Airport
(IATA: IXZ, ICAO: VOPB), is a customs airport located 2 km (1.2 mi)
south of Port Blair and is the main airport of the Andaman and
Nicobar Islands of India.
It is located at Delanipur, right by the popular Haddo Road in Port
Blair. You can drive down the road from city centre to reach here in
about 30 minutes.
One can easily reach Samudrika Marine Museum from the city by taking local Buses,
Rickshaws and Taxis.
