India Transit Visa

Transit visa is granted for the sole purpose of enabling the visa holder to travel through India to reach his / her ultimate destination. Change of purpose is not allowed.

Validity

Transit Visa is valid for single journey or two journeys. It would be valid for entry within 15 days from date of issue specified by Indian Mission.

Duration of stay during each visit by foreign nationals passing through India should not exceed 3 days.

The applicant should possess confirmed ticket to his destination beyond India.

Entry Points

Passengers having valid Transit visa can enter India from any desired port of immigration check post (Airport, Seaport).

Fee

Visa fees for Transit visa is different for all the Missions, it ranges from $13 to $ 53.

Form

The visitors are required to fill online visa Application by visiting website http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ and visit their nearest embassy with printout of the online filled application and required travel documents.

Required Documents

• Passport with 6 month validity
• Passport size photographs
• Photo copy of passport
• Copy of online Filled form
• Confirm air ticket for onward journey
• Valid visa for final destination
