Carry-On Allowance

All carry-on items must be placed in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you, in accordance with the following guidelines.:

Economy Class Entitlement: 1 Cabin Bag

Maximum Size of Cabin Bag: 22in x 15in x 8in / 55cm x 38cm x 20cm (length x width x height)

Maximum Weight of Cabin Bag: 15 lb / 7 kg

First and Business Class Entitlement: 1 Briefcase + either 1 Purse or 1 Garment Cover

Maximum Size of Briefcase: 18in x 14in x 8in / 45cm x 35cm x 20cm (length x width x height)

Maximum Size of Purse: 22in x 15in x 8in / 55cm x 38cm x 20cm (length x width x height)

Maximum Size of Garment Cover (folded): 8in / 20cm

Total Maximum Weight of Carry-ons: 26 lb / 12 kg

REMINDER: Bulkhead row seats do not offer under-seat storage during takeoff and landing.

Travel to/from North and South America:

Economy Baggage Entitlement: 2 pieces

Economy Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches / 158 cm (length + width + height)

Maximum Weight for Economy Travelers: 50 lb / 23 kg

Business/First Baggage Entitlement: 2 pieces

Business/First Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches / 158 cm (length + width + height)

Maximum Weight for Business/First Travelers: 70 lb / 32 kg

Passengers heading to other regions should contact Emirates or refer to the baggage allowance chart.

Overweight Baggage Charges

For luggage weighing between 50–70 lb (23–32 kg): $50 USD per item

Any bag over 70 lb / 32 kg will not be accepted.

Excess and Oversize Baggage Charges

If you bring more bags than allowed or your baggage exceeds the permitted size limits, additional fees will be charged. For more information, please contact Emirates directly.

Sports Gear

Some oversized or fragile items, such as bicycles or surfboards, are subject to a fixed handling fee due to their size or special care needs. For more details, please contact the Emirates Jakarta Contact Centre or refer to their sports equipment policy page.
