Passengers traveling with Emirates can Check-in conveniently with the check-in options provided as below:

Emirates Check-in Information

Online Check-in

Emirates provides online check-in for most destinations within its network. This service opens 48 hours before departure and closes 90 minutes prior to your flight. Checked baggage can be dropped off at the airport from 24 hours before departure—or 12 hours before if traveling to the United States. Boarding passes can be printed or downloaded to a mobile device for use at most airports.

Your departure airport must support digital check-in, and all passengers must still visit the check-in counter for document verification and boarding pass issuance.

Depending on your location, you may be eligible for an electronic boarding pass. If not, you can obtain one at the airport via a self-check-in kiosk.

Online check-in is not available if your trip starts with a flight not operated by Emirates, including partner or codeshare services.

Self Check-in Kiosk

Using a self-service kiosk makes check-in quick and easy—simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process without visiting a service desk.

Baggage drop kiosks let you check your luggage at the same time, and also give you options to review flight details, choose a seat, and add your Emirates Skywards membership number.

Even if you’ve already checked in online, these kiosks can still be used to drop off your bags.

Self-check-in kiosks and baggage drop facilities are located in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, available for all flights except those to the US and Canada.

Airport Counter Check-in

Emirates recommends the following arrival times:

• With checked baggage: Arrive at least 90 minutes before departure.

• Without checked baggage: Arrive at least 60 minutes before departure.

• Economy Class without online check-in: Arrive 3 hours before departure.

• First and Business Class without online check-in: Arrive 1 hour before departure.

Reminder

Allow enough time for document checks and to reach your boarding gate.

• 3 hours before departure: Arrive at the airport no later than this time.

• 60 minutes before departure: Clear security at least by this point.

• 45 minutes before departure: Boarding begins; gates close 20 minutes before departure.

Timings and procedures may vary, so confirm the specific requirements with Emirates before your journey.
