If you misplace an item while traveling with Emirates, follow these steps to
report it and start the recovery process:
Lost Items at the Airport
If you lose an item at the
airport—whether before check-in, during security screening, or after
arrival—contact the airport’s Lost & Found department directly.
Emirates is not responsible for items misplaced in terminal areas, baggage claim
zones, or security checkpoints.
Lost Items Onboard an Emirates Flight
If you lose an item onboard an Emirates flight, it will be delivered to the
Lost & Found department at your arrival airport.
To locate your item, contact Emirates customer service or the Lost & Found
office at your destination airport.
Lost Checked Baggage
(Delayed, Damaged, or Missing)
If your checked baggage is
missing, report it immediately at the Emirates Baggage Services Desk at the
airport.
You’ll receive a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) and a reference number to
track your bag via the WorldTracer system.
If your baggage remains un-located after 21 days, it may be considered lost, and
you could be eligible for compensation.
