Passengers flying with Etihad Airways are welcome to bring:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-On Allowance: 1 Bag + 1 Personal Item

Each passenger may bring one carry-on bag and one personal item—such as a handbag, laptop bag, or briefcase. Assistive devices and outerwear are not counted as personal items. All carry-on baggage must fit either in the overhead bin or beneath the seat in front of you, and you should be able to lift it into the overhead compartment without assistance.

Carry-on bag restrictions for Coral Economy Class:

• Baggage Allowance: One piece
• Maximum Dimensions: 45 linear in/115 cm (length + width + height)
• Maximum Weight: 15 lb/7 kg

Carry-on bag restrictions for Pearl Business and Diamond First Class:

• Baggage Allowance: Two pieces
• Maximum Dimensions for each bag: 45 linear in/115 cm (length + width + height)
• Maximum Combined Weight: 26 lb/12 kg

Carry-on bag restrictions for infants:

• One additional handbag (weight must not exceed 5 kg)
• One fully collapsible stroller or carry-cot, which can be taken as carry-on if cabin space permits or as checked baggage in the hold

REMINDER: Bulkhead seats do not have underseat storage during take-off and landing.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Weight Concept

For all flights except those to the USA and Canada, the weight concept applies. The combined weight of all bags cannot exceed:

• Diamond First Class: 110 lb/50 kg
• Pearl Business Class: 88 lb/40 kg
• Coral Economy Class: 66 lb/30 kg
• Infants: 22 lb/10 kg

Please note that the maximum size and weight for any checked baggage processed is 18 in x 28 in x 35 in / 45 cm x 72 cm x 90 cm and 70 lb/32 kg.

Piece Concept

For flights to the USA and Canada, the piece concept applies.

Baggage restrictions for Coral Economy Class:

• Baggage Allowance: Two pieces
• Maximum weight: 66 lb/30 kg
• Maximum dimensions: 17 in x 28 in x 35 in / 45 cm x 72 cm x 90 cm

Baggage restrictions for Pearl Business Class:

• Baggage Allowance: Two pieces
• Maximum weight: 88 lb/40 kg
• Maximum dimensions: 17 in x 28 in x 35 in / 45 cm x 72 cm x 90 cm

Baggage restrictions for Diamond First Class:

• Baggage Allowance: Two pieces
• Maximum weight: 88 lb/40 kg
• Maximum dimensions: 17 in x 28 in x 35 in / 45 cm x 72 cm x 90 cm

Baggage restrictions for infants:

• Baggage Allowance: One piece
• Maximum weight: 22 lb/10 kg
• One additional handbag (weight must not exceed 5 kg)
• One fully collapsible stroller or carry-cot, which can be carried on if cabin space is available or checked in the hold

When traveling with Etihad Airways, Etihad Guest Silver members receive an additional 22 lb (10 kg) baggage allowance, while Etihad Guest Gold members receive an extra 33 lb (15 kg), on top of the allowance shown on their ticket. On routes where these additional allowances are already included, you will be entitled to whichever allowance is greater.

Excess Baggage Fees

• Weight Concept: For excess baggage, unless otherwise specified, the fee is 1.5% of the highest normal direct adult one-way IATA Coral Economy class fare per excess kilogram.

• Piece Concept: For flights to Canada, excess baggage charges apply for any additional pieces beyond the allowance, at a fee of 500 AED or 137 CAD per piece (up to 70 lb/32 kg).

• Piece Concept: For flights to the USA, excess baggage charges apply for guests with more than two pieces of baggage, at a charge of AED 500 per piece (up to 70 lb/32 kg).
