Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways is the national airline and the second-largest carrier in the
United Arab Emirates, after Emirates. Headquartered in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi,
near Abu Dhabi International Airport, the airline serves as a key connector
between global destinations. As of August 2025, Etihad operates more than 1,000
weekly flights from its hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport, reaching over
120 passenger and cargo destinations worldwide.
Founded by royal decree in July 2003, Etihad Airways commenced operations in November of the same year. Today, it stands as the third-largest airline in the Middle East and the second-largest in the UAE, following Dubai-based Emirates. Its main hub is Abu Dhabi International Airport.
