Situated on the banks of Koyna River in Karad, lies the famous
Temple of Devi Koynamai. It holds great religious significance for
devotees and is chiefly responsible for attracting tourism to the
town of Karad. The area surrounding the temple is very calm and
peaceful, thereby providing the much needed break from the chaotic
city life.
Getting There
The National Highway 4 (NH4) goes
by Karad City. NH4 is a major National Highway in Western and Southern
India.
Karad Bus Station is a major bus
terminal, which is served by the Maharashtra State Road Transport
Corporation (MSRTC) from Pune, Satara, Mumbai, Kolhapur and Solapur.
