American Airlines, Inc. (AA) is one of the largest U.S. carriers, headquartered

Following its merger with US Airways, American Airlines became the world’s

and number of destinations served.
A founding member of the Oneworld Alliance (launched in February 1999), American
Airlines also operates code-share flights with non-alliance partners such as
Alaska Airlines, Etihad Airways, and Hawaiian Airlines.
